Embark on a journey through Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks, with a full-day guided tour that brings the city’s fascinating history to life. Accompanied by an English-speaking professional guide, you will explore the blend of Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman influences that have shaped this incredible city.

At 9:00 AM, our day begins with a visit to the Hippodrome, the ancient site of chariot races during the Roman Empire. From there, we’ll marvel at the Blue Mosque, an architectural masterpiece from the early 17th century, famous for its six minarets and beautiful blue Iznik tilework. The tour continues with a stop at the magnificent St. Sophia, built by Emperor Justinian in AD 537 and later converted into a mosque, showcasing a unique fusion of Byzantine and Islamic artistry with its grand mosaics and striking wooden discs proclaiming the greatness of Allah. Lunch will be enjoyed at the elegant Matbah Restaurant, known for its Ottoman cuisine.

Afterwards, we’ll visit the Basilica Cistern, the largest of the ancient cisterns that lie beneath Istanbul, built during the reign of Emperor Justinian in the 6th century. The tour concludes with a trip to the Grand Bazaar, where you’ll have the chance to shop for carpets, jewelry, leather, and more in this world-famous marketplace. At 18:00, we’ll return to the hotel.
